Longer days, warm sunshine and spring in the air
By March, the sun is already strong enough to warm the day to around 20°C. Doors stay open a little longer, breakfast drifts outdoors and the landscape seems to call you out into it. The orchards are in bloom, the Waalwege trails wind gently across the hillsides and quiet paths disappear into the countryside. This is spring without hurry: time to walk, breathe deeply and let the mind wander. With your dog beside you, the next adventure begins at the garden gate.

Walks and hikes
Apple blossom in South Tyrol
For a few short weeks, the valleys around Meran are brushed with white and pale pink. Apple blossom fills the orchards and gives the landscape an almost weightless quality. It is the perfect time to ease the pace, wander without hurry and simply take it all in.
The Kuenser Waalweg irrigation channel trail, the Panorama Trail and the Path of Contemplation are all close to Villa Bea, and you can set off straight from the house with your dog. If you are staying in one of the spacious Vinschgau, Passeier or Kuens apartments, you can look forward to the warmth of a private sauna when you return.

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

Every step, a new discovery
Some of the loveliest discoveries are close to home. Follow the path to the Spronserbach waterfall, seek out the earth pyramids of Kuens or carry on towards Dorf Tirol.
Meran is just nearby, with its green promenades following the Passer river and the famous Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle. In spring, the gardens slowly wake in colour, one flower after another. And before heading back, there is always time to linger over an aperitif in the old town.

From breakfast to sunset

Themed trails & Waalwege
A good day starts with a good breakfast. On request, fresh bread rolls, croissants, milk, butter and eggs can be delivered to the apartment, while coffee, jam, honey and Nutella are waiting in the product corner.
After breakfast, all that remains is to choose a direction. Wander through the orchards, follow the river, explore a themed trail or spend a few hours along one of the traditional Waalwege trails. Spring around Meran is made for being outdoors, and some dog-friendly routes already lead high into the mountains at this time of year.
There are more ways to spend the day than you are likely to fit into one holiday. And by evening, when your legs are pleasantly tired, everything else somehow feels lighter.
